
Jess is a passionate feminist, educator, and mental health advocate. She is currently studying a PhD in Psychology at Curtin University, where she also completed her Honours. Jess works as a sessional academic teaching in the undergraduate psychology program, and as a part time researcher in the School of Social Work. Jess has worked on a range of projects including cross generational LGBTQ+ experiences, youth alcohol use, and support needs of grandparents raising grandchildren. Jess is a member of the Trans Research Interest Group at Curtin University, and is also a Curtin Ally. Jess’ interests includes health and wellbeing, social justice, and LGBTQ+ life. Jess loves good coffee and breakfast foods, mimosas, being organised, her two cats Ginger Spice and Harley Quinn, and dancing to classic pop.
